Chapter 263 Xin Yan's Regrets Before Dying!

The next morning, Xin Yan woke up early in the morning and walked out of her room to stroll around in the garden that came along with the courtyard they rented. While walking, she admired the beauty of the flowers planted in the ground.

*Woosh*

She started to lose herself in the pleasant feeling of the calm wind and the ambient scene of the sunrise, but then something happened that caused her to frown. She did not immediately act on her instincts but used her soul sense and saw Noah and Elysia resting in their respective rooms.

Although Elysia would much prefer sleeping with Noah, the seal he placed on the room prevented her from entering. She could enter, but seeing the seal as Noah's way of saying that there were some places he would like to keep boundaries, Elysia respected his wishes.

After confirming their states, she disappeared from her place and reappeared in the sky. She sensed that not many people were in the area. Even the ones who were in the area seemed to be too weak to sense her. With no worries about being noticed, Xin Yan looked for the source of the unusual feeling she was getting.

Her face turned in a particular direction where a man wearing regular cultivator clothes stood looking around here and there before he started running in a random direction.

Her figure once again flashed through the air, reappearing behind the man. Forming a grappling claw, she rushed in the direction of his neck, trying to hold him down in one place.

Before she could touch the man, he lunged forward and twisted around to face her.

Xin Yan was momentarily stunned to see the grinning expression on the man's face. Although he looked like a normal human, the crazed expression on the person's face was anything but human.

In her moment of distraction, she failed to notice the guy's belly slowly swelling up like a balloon.

Before she noticed it, it was too late for her to react.

Seeing the man's body glowing and pulsing with energy, Xin Yan's mind flashed with memories of all the happy and sad times she had been through.

Despair flashed through her mind as she thought she might not be able to survive this blast and see her son again.

The despair soon turned into regrets. The regrets of not having more time with Noah and the thought of not seeing him and Elysia again gnawed at her heart.

"I remember sleeping and then someone using their soul sense to look inside my room.... Might as well have thrown me off the bed." Noah rolled his eyes before looking down with narrowed eyes.

His eyes were fixed on the spot where the boy died for a second before he looked away and flew in the direction of their new home. Xin Yan stayed silent the whole time on their way.

It was not until the three of them sat together to talk that she spoke.

"I sensed a weird gaze on the house, keeping an eye on our moments. So I went to see who it was and what their motive was." In the middle of the hall, all three of the residents were present as they said they were drinking from their cups.

"I also sensed it yesterday, but it disappeared before I could sense the location and never reappeared again. But this morning when you woke me up, I sensed it once again." Hearing Xin Yan's explanation, Noah lowered his cup before speaking.

He narrated what he felt when they left the place after buying this place.

"Who do you think they are and why did they choose to follow us?" Elysia interjected with a curious look on her face.

Her questions aroused two deadpan gazes on her body. As if they were asking, ' Seriously YOU are asking this?'

As if understanding the meaning behind their gaze, Elysia did not say anything but pulled a book out of nowhere.

"It was the first thing I did, and I did not notice anything related to this man. No one else was acting like how you mentioned him to be acting. It seems like he was acting on his own." she hid her face and narrated in an almost whispering voice.

She did not like it when she failed to provide when Noah asked for something from her. It made her feel like she was not good enough.

"No need to think too much about it. I am sure whatever it is we can deal with it when it comes. I will still look around for information." placing the empty cup on the table Noah explained with a smile on his face.

"Where will you be going to?" Elysia returned to normal hearing Noah's comforting and soothing tone. She and Xin Yan asked the question at the same time. Surprisingly the answer did not make them happy at all.
