Chapter 141 Sea Fishing

Chapter 141 Sea Fishing

In that dream, I seemed to have traveled to a parallel world and met my parents, whom I hadn't seen in a long time. It was Mid-Autumn Festival, and the moon was high in the sky, illuminating the entire courtyard. My parents and I sat around the dining table, which was laden with delicious dishes.

The kitchen was filled with enticing aromas as Mom and Dad busily prepared dinner. Dad, a skilled cook, meticulously prepared a delicious pickled fish dish, the fish tender and juicy, the pickled cabbage fragrant and tangy. Mom, for her part, preferred lighter dishes, preparing a sweet taro flower soup and a refreshing chayote dish. There was also Dad's favorite clear beef soup, Mom's favorite braised pork, and my brother's favorite stir-fried mushrooms. These delicacies made my mouth water.

My father and I were busy in the kitchen, chatting as we prepared dinner. Mom was in the living room, worshiping our ancestors and praying for peace and happiness. My younger brother watched curiously, occasionally helping pass something. The whole house was filled with laughter and overflowing with family love.

When all the dishes were ready, our family of four gathered around to enjoy this heartwarming reunion dinner. We ate and chatted, sharing our daily lives. After dinner, we walked out to the courtyard, savoring mooncakes under the grape trellis and admiring the beautiful moon. The moonlight cast a soft, silvery glow on the ground.

However, good times are always short-lived. After we finished eating the mooncakes, Mom, Dad, and my brother suddenly stood up and said to me with a smile, "Sui Sui, you have to live a good life, and we will live a good life too. Don't worry about us all the time. Although we don't live together, you have to know that Mom, Dad, and your brother still love you." With that, they turned and left, their figures gradually disappearing into the night.

I watched them retreat, tears welling up in my eyes. Even though it was just a dream, the deep longing and attachment I felt for my family felt incredibly real. I know that no matter how far apart we are, the love between family members never changes. This dream made me feel the warmth of home and the importance of family, and it made me cherish every moment I spent with them even more. Even though we can't be together all the time in real life, the care and love in our hearts will always connect us. I didn't run after them in tears, as I'd imagined in a novel, because I knew it was just a dream. Though the dream felt so real, it was ultimately illusory. However, I also clearly understand that what you think about during the day will manifest in your dreams at night, and this dream might be a manifestation of my deepest longing and yearning for them. So, even if all this was fake, I still felt a sense of comfort, because at least in my dream, we were together. And their presence in my dream brought me a special kind of happiness.

Last night, I had another beautiful dream. I dreamed that my parents came to visit me. Their faces were filled with happy smiles, as if time had left no trace on them. As the first rays of morning sunlight shone through the window onto my face, my eyes slowly opened and the familiar sound of my alarm clock rang in my ears. I felt particularly energetic, perhaps because that beautiful dream gave me strength.

I knew returning to Blue Star was impossible, but my heart was still filled with longing for my homeland and my loved ones. Despite this, I chose to accept this reality and strive to adapt to my new environment. However, every time I saw my parents and loved ones again in my dreams, an indescribable emotion welled up in my heart, reminding me that deep down, I still had a glimmer of hope.

In the early morning, as the first rays of sunlight streamed through the window onto my bed, I quickly jumped out of bed. Today was a special day: I was going fishing at the beach! I hurriedly packed my essentials—sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and so on—and then, filled with anticipation, Wei'er and I boarded the hovercraft bound for the harbor.

Along the way, the breeze caressed my cheeks, bringing a light salty smell, as if telling me that the sea was not far away. My mood became more and more cheerful, and I couldn't wait to experience the charm of the vast ocean.

Soon, we arrived at the harbor. It was bustling with activity, with many anglers already gathered. Some were busy sorting their gear, some were chatting with friends about their fishing experiences, and others were standing quietly by, their eyes full of anticipation.

We boarded a spacious boat and found a comfortable seat. With a clear whistle, the boat slowly sailed out of the harbor and headed for the depths of the sea. The sunlight shimmered on the sea, creating a shimmering, enchanting beauty.

I sat at the bow, staring intently at the sea, my fishing rod tightly gripped in my hands, waiting for a bite. Time ticked by, but I didn't grow impatient, for I knew fishing required patience and perseverance. Finally, I felt the rod tremble slightly, followed by a powerful force.

"A fish's on!" I shouted excitedly. Wei'er came over, her face beaming with joy. I carefully reeled in the line, fearing to scare away this hard-earned catch. After some effort, a massive fish finally leaped out of the water, its tail slapping the surface with a gleaming silver, sending up a shower of water.

At this moment, I felt an unprecedented sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. This was not only a successful fishing experience, but also a reverence for nature and a love for life.

After placing the fish in the fresh-keeping bucket, I baited my line and started fishing again. This time, I waited for a long time, but nothing caught. I couldn't help but get anxious, but I waited patiently. Finally, the rod moved. I felt a powerful tug on the rod, as if trying to pull me into the water. I held on tightly, not letting up even a bit, and engaged in a fierce tug-of-war with the fish. The fish struggled relentlessly, trying to escape my hook, but I held on tight. Gradually, the fish's strength seemed to fade, and its struggles became less and less. I seized the opportunity and pulled hard, successfully hauling it aboard. "Wow, what a huge fish!" Wei exclaimed. Looking at this enormous fish, I felt a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. I smiled triumphantly. This feeling of victory was truly wonderful. Then, I carefully placed the fish into the bucket, fearing it would escape again. Then, I re-baited and returned to the joy of fishing. Before we knew it, the sun was setting, and a brilliant sunset glow covered the horizon. The golden sunlight bathed the sea, creating a shimmering, breathtaking beauty. Realizing it was getting late, we decided to pack up our rods and return to shore. This fishing trip had been incredibly rewarding. Not only did I catch the big fish I'd always wanted, but I also experienced the beauty of nature. As the sun shone brightly, Wei'er and I left the harbor. This day's experience will forever remain a cherished memory in my heart.

I had a wonderful day at sea today, and I returned to the hotel that evening with a bountiful catch. Despite being in a foreign country, I found a kind of joy and peace through sea fishing. I understand that life is full of disappointments, but as long as we maintain a positive and optimistic attitude, we will surely discover the beauty around us.

In this unfamiliar country, I felt the charm and power of nature. Sea fishing allowed me to connect closely with the ocean and experience the wondrous world of marine life. Every moment of casting the line and waiting for a bite was filled with anticipation and excitement. Even when I didn't catch a fish, I wasn't disappointed, because the experience itself was a joy.

This experience also taught me that no matter where we are, as long as we are willing to try new things and have the courage to explore the unknown, we will surely find our own happiness and satisfaction. Furthermore, when faced with difficulties, we must not give up easily but must persevere and believe that we can overcome them.

Back at the hotel, I lay in bed, reflecting on every detail of the day. I was grateful for the joy and tranquility the ocean had brought me, and thankful for the opportunity to experience a different culture and lifestyle. In the days ahead, I will continue to maintain a positive attitude, bravely face life's challenges, and cherish every beautiful moment.
