Chapter 133 Will Have Scars
Chapter 133 Will Have Scars
Siyi was stunned, her heart immediately panicking. "Big brother... what did you say? What happened to Dad?"
Ye Zhenghao's voice sounded even more exhausted, "Come back first, it's hard to explain over the phone in a short time."
Siyi had nothing more to say and quickly agreed. After hanging up the phone, she stood there with a worried look on her face, unable to react for a long time.
Jiang Yan saw her put away her phone from afar, but he also noticed her furrowed brows and pale face. He narrowed his eyes, beckoned a staff member over, and instructed them to put their ski equipment in the car before walking over to Siyi's side. "What's wrong?"
Siyi turned her head in a daze and saw Jiang Yanhui's handsome face close to hers. Then she remembered something, reached out and grabbed his clothes, her voice excited, "Jiang Yanhui, let's go back to City A right away!"
"What happened?" Jiang Yan frowned. Actually, his jaw hurt a little when he spoke. Only he knew how much force she had used when she swung at him. The reason he sent everyone away was just to strike while the iron was hot.
Siyi was flustered, but she forced herself to calm down. She pursed her lips and slowly said, "My brother said... my father... he seems to be dying. I have to go back immediately."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Yan's heart sank. After a moment of hesitation, she said, "It's too late today, tomorrow."
"No!" Siyi knew he meant to say he'd go back tomorrow, but she couldn't wait a second longer. She interrupted him, "Go back now. Jiang Yan is back, I have to go back, you know that? My brother said my father is dying. I don't know how he is, but if anything really happens to him, I'll never forgive myself!" Her gaze suddenly paused, as if she'd thought of something. She stared intently into his eyes and asked, "You're the one who had my brother blocked from finding me, right?"
Jiang Yan frowned even more, and her tone became a little lower. However, he had no intention of hiding anything from her. He parted his thin lips and uttered a simple word, "Yes."
Siyi bit her lip, as if she wanted to say something, but she swallowed the words back.
What right did she have to blame him? He didn't do it on purpose, and besides, he didn't know his father was in poor health. Moreover, this trip was her own idea; she hadn't told her family. All of this had nothing to do with Jiang Yan Hui. He only wanted to stop his older brother so he could bring her here.
"never mind."
She reached up and pinched her temple, suppressing the urge to sigh. "Take me back first, I need to get back right away."
Jiang Yan had thought she would blame him, but to his surprise, she didn't say anything. He felt a warmth in his heart, remained silent for a moment, and without his usual nonchalant attitude, nodded gently, "Okay, I'll go back with you."
Siyi knew that Jiang Yan would definitely have a way to send her back, but she didn't expect that he would have a private jet.
She knew how wealthy the Jiang family was. In the past, she had actually looked down on such a luxurious lifestyle. But now, as she sat on the plane flying back to City A, she realized for the first time that being rich and extravagant might not be such a bad thing.
Jiang Yan received a phone call as soon as he boarded the plane. He went away to answer the call, while Si Yi sat there blankly. Perhaps she was too tired, because she actually fell asleep.
When Jiang Yan came over after hanging up the phone, she saw Jiang Yan leaning against the sofa, fast asleep. Jiang Yan had been a little tired these past few days, constantly on the go. He had originally planned to let her relax, but then this happened.
He put his phone in his pocket, had someone bring a blanket, and gently covered her with it. A few strands of hair fell across her forehead, partially obscuring her eyelashes. He reached out with his long, slender fingers and gently brushed them away.
Someone came up behind him, bent down and gently called out, "Young Master Yan, do you need your wound treated?"
Jiang Yan felt a sharp pain in his jaw. He nodded, slowly stood up, and had his companions treat the wound on his jaw.
"Young Master Yan, your wound isn't too serious, but you'll need to take anti-inflammatory medication for a few days and rest. Don't eat anything too hard these days, otherwise it will hurt a lot when you bite into it. I suggest you eat some liquid food." The man was Jiang Yan's family doctor, who had come with him on the plane. As he treated Jiang Yan's wound, he said, "However, Young Master Yan, once the wound has healed a bit, you should still go to the hospital. I'm worried that it might leave a scar."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Yan raised an eyebrow slightly, "A scar?"
"Yes."
The doctor nodded. "This wound is quite deep. If left untreated, it will likely leave a scar."
Jiang Yan responded with a soft "hmm," but said nothing more.
