Chapter 326 Fierce Battle Against Ferocious Beasts, Enveloped in Mystery
Huanmo and the others gripped their weapons tightly, their eyes fixed on the enormous monsters covered in black fur. The monsters' eyes glowed with an eerie green light, and they let out low growls, as if they were ready to pounce and tear them to shreds at any moment.
A cold wind howled, rustling the surrounding trees and sending leaves swirling and falling through the air. Huanmo took a deep breath, trying to calm his wildly beating heart. His mind raced, searching for a solution: "These monsters look extremely ferocious. We can't attack rashly. We need to figure out their weaknesses first."
Yi Chen stood beside Huan Mo and whispered, "Huan Mo, what should we do?" Huan Mo glanced at her companions and said firmly, "Everyone, maintain formation and don't make any rash moves. Observe their movement patterns first." Everyone nodded slightly, and the distance between them moved closer, forming a tight defensive circle.
The monsters seemed to be sizing up Huanmo and the others as well, slowly circling them. Suddenly, one of the monsters roared and pounced on Huanmo. Huanmo's eyes sharpened, and he swiftly dodged to the side, thrusting his sword towards the monster's abdomen. However, the monster's hide was exceptionally tough, and the sword only left a shallow mark on its belly.
Huanmo's heart sank: "This monster's defense is incredibly strong; it seems this battle won't be easy." Just then, the other monsters launched their attacks as well, opening their gaping maws to reveal sharp teeth as they pounced on the group. The woman in white swiftly waved the ribbon in her hand, which danced in the air like a nimble white snake, coiling around the neck of one of the monsters. The monster roared angrily, struggling desperately.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Yi Chen rushed forward, thrusting his spear towards the monster's leg. The monster, in pain, swayed and nearly fell to the ground. However, the other monsters attacked even more frantically, their movements swift and powerful, leaving Huan Mo and the others struggling to keep up.
While dodging the monsters' attacks, Huanmo observed the situation on the battlefield. He noticed that although these monsters were powerful, they were relatively slow-moving. So he shouted, "Everyone, be careful! These monsters are slow-moving. We'll use our agility to maneuver around them and look for opportunities to attack their vital points!"
Hearing Huanmo's words, everyone changed their tactics. They no longer confronted the monsters head-on, but instead skillfully dodged their attacks, searching for weaknesses. Huanmo seized an opportunity, leaping into the air and thrusting his sword into one of the monsters' eyes. The monster screamed in agony as its eye was pierced, blood gushing out. It frantically lashed out with its claws, trying to grab Huanmo. Huanmo swiftly dodged, landing to the side.
After a fierce battle, the monsters were finally defeated and lay motionless on the ground. Huanmo and the others breathed a sigh of relief; their clothes were soaked with sweat. Huanmo looked at his companions, a warm feeling welling up in his heart: "Thankfully, everyone is alright. Although this battle was difficult, we still made it through."
However, before they could even rest, a thick fog suddenly billowed from the woods. The fog quickly enveloped the entire area, blurring their vision. Huanmo was startled and gripped his sword tightly, warily thinking, "This fog came too suddenly; who knows what danger it hides?"
Yi Chen frowned and said, "There seems to be a mysterious power in this mist, which makes me feel uneasy." The woman in white nodded slightly, a hint of worry in her eyes: "We can't stay here any longer. We need to find a way out as soon as possible and continue searching for the 'Forbidden Land'."
The group cautiously made their way forward through the mist, everything around them blurred and indistinct, only the sounds of their footsteps and breathing audible. Huanmo was filled with vigilance, constantly watching for any movement around him, fearing that some danger might suddenly appear.
Suddenly, Huanmo heard a faint sound coming from ahead, like someone crying. His heart skipped a beat, and he looked in the direction of the sound, but he couldn't see anything in the mist. He whispered to his companions, "There seems to be a sound ahead, let's go check it out." The others nodded and followed Huanmo towards the sound.
As they approached the source of the sound, they found a little girl dressed in tattered clothes, crouching on the ground crying. Huanmo felt a pang of pity and stepped forward, softly asking, "Little girl, why are you here all alone? Where are your family?"
The little girl looked up at Huanmo and the others, her eyes filled with fear and despair. She choked back tears and said, "I'm separated from my family. This place is so scary. I can't find my way out." Huanmo comforted her, "Don't be afraid, we'll get you out. Do you know of any special places around here? Like the 'Forbidden Land'?"
Upon hearing the words "forbidden land," the little girl trembled slightly, a flicker of fear crossing her eyes. She whispered, "I know about the 'forbidden land.' It's not far ahead. There are many terrible things there. You mustn't go."
Hearing the little girl's words, Huanmo and the others felt both excited and nervous. Huanmo looked at the little girl and said, "Thank you, little girl. We'll be careful. Come with us first, and once we get out of this fog, we'll help you find your family." The little girl nodded, stood up, and followed behind Huanmo and the others.
However, just as they continued forward, Huanmo suddenly sensed a powerful aura approaching from ahead. His heart tightened, realizing danger was imminent. He shouted, "Everyone be careful! Danger ahead!" The group immediately gripped their weapons, ready for battle.
The powerful aura drew ever closer, and a gigantic figure began to emerge from the mist. Huanmo stared intently, his heart filled with shock: "What kind of monster is this? It's even more powerful than the ones we've encountered before!" The monster's body was as large as a mountain, emanating an evil aura that sent chills down one's spine.
The monster slowly approached them, the ground trembling with each step. Huanmo gripped his sword tightly, his heart filled with tension and fear, but he knew they couldn't back down. He glanced at his companions, his eyes filled with determination: "No matter how powerful this monster is, we must fight with all our might and defeat it!"
Everyone nodded, their eyes revealing determination. An even fiercer battle was about to begin. Could they defeat this powerful monster and successfully find the "Forbidden Land"? And was this mysterious little girl really just a lost child, as she claimed? Everything was shrouded in uncertainty, filling them with both worry and anticipation.
