Chapter 250 Preparatory Work

Chapter 250 Preparatory Work

Melos, Lingye, and Louis slowly walked up to the six enormous shipping containers that stood like behemoths.

They stopped and stared silently at the behemoth before them, as if they could see through the thick metal shell to the countless shuttle parts.

"Hmm, almost there. Let's open it. I'll get started now."

After a brief observation, Meros turned his head, nodded slightly to Lingye, and then spoke.

"Okay. You guys go and open all the containers for me."

Ling Ye understood immediately and opened the terminal to issue commands, starting to arrange for people to open these huge containers.

These containers require specialized machinery to open, so as the order was given, a group of people, accompanied by a mechanical roar, began to work as the container door was slowly pulled open, releasing a musty and mixed smell.

Upon closer inspection, everyone saw that the room was filled with all sorts of parts, piled up densely together, stretching as far as the eye could see.

Upon closer inspection, it can be found that all of these parts are old shuttle car parts, and some parts even show signs of damage.

Meros stepped forward, gently stroking the cold metal parts, a barely perceptible glint of satisfaction flashing in his eyes. Just then, as if struck by a sudden thought, he abruptly waved his hand, and a crack shimmering with an eerie light appeared out of thin air.

In an instant, a loud buzzing sound was heard, and countless tiny figures surged out of the spatial rift like a tidal wave.

Upon closer inspection, they turned out to be groups of Meros's follower races of varying sizes—their lairs!

Like arrows released from a bow, they pounced madly towards the parts. In the blink of an eye, the once silent area became bustling with activity, filled with the busy figures and noisy sounds of the nests.

These nests, like a well-trained army, began to assemble the shuttle in an orderly manner.

They seemed to be controlled by the same mysterious force, as if they possessed a single, highly intelligent, and precise brain that directed and coordinated their operations. Each nest could place the parts it held in its proper position with extreme precision, without the slightest error.

Time passed quietly, the sun slowly tilted westward, and the afterglow in the sky gradually dimmed.

Night began to fall over the land, but this originally empty and dark place did not fall into darkness.

Because Lingye had already arranged for a large number of staff members, they quickly turned on the enormous lighting fixtures, and in an instant, the entire open space was illuminated as bright as day.

Where all the lights converge, a large-scale miniature shuttle can be clearly seen gradually taking shape.

This scene is as amazing as pressing the speed-up button while playing a fantastic building game!

These nests were like skilled and efficient workers, busy at work: some were focused on welding, with sparks flying like twinkling stars; others were carefully assembling various parts with practiced and efficient techniques; and still others were responsible for meticulous debugging and optimization of the program.

Their every move was so serious, meticulous, and precise, and they cooperated perfectly with each other without exchanging a single unnecessary word.

The only sounds echoing across the open space were the mechanical collisions produced by their hard work, rising and falling, weaving together a unique symphony of labor.

And so, after just a few hours of intense and orderly work, the shuttle that had been scrapped was almost fully assembled!

"Gurgle, gurgle—"

Moros was texting Lin Xiyue, complaining that he was bored and couldn't go back to see her, when he heard the "gurgling" sound from the nest.

After telling Lin Xiyue that he was going to start doing things properly, he looked at the nest.

"Gurgle, gurgle—"

This nest is the largest of the nests that Meros has released so far, and it appears to be the leader of this group of nests, so it reports to Meros.

"Hmm, it's done?"

Meros heard the report from the lair and nodded.

"Gurgle gurgle—gurgle—"

The nest chirped a few more times, its voice sounding somewhat dejected.

"Ah, it's nothing, it's just for the appearance anyway."

Upon hearing the nest's reply, Meros casually offered a few words of comfort.

"Gurgle, gurgle!—"

Hearing Meros's reassuring words, the Nest's tone noticeably lifted, and it became much more excited.

"Alright, alright, here's your reward, go back now."

Meros reached out and patted the head of the den as if petting a dog, then took out a black crystal.

According to the alien race's currency symbols for crystals, black is arguably the most expensive. Of course, Meros didn't give it out as ordinary wages, but as a reward for the nests, to be eaten by them.

"Let them gather together."

Meros glanced at the completed shuttle and spoke to the nest in front of him.

"Gurgle!! ————"

As soon as Meros finished speaking, the nest slowly rose into the air, like a giant bird spreading its wings and soaring high. It let out a high-pitched and loud cry towards the other nests that had already finished their busy work but were still carefully polishing, finishing and dealing with the final details.

The cry seemed to possess some kind of magical power, instantly spreading throughout the entire area.

In an instant, all the working nests seemed to have heard a unified command, and they quickly put away their tools.

They took off in perfect unison, like a group of well-trained soldiers, and flew toward the open space in front of Meros.

In an instant, the sky was filled with nests of all sizes, some clustered together, while others nimbly weaved through the air, searching for suitable places to land.

Before long, these nests arrived at their destination one after another and began to build up one on top of the other in an orderly manner.

They clustered together tightly, layer upon layer, forming a huge sphere.

From a distance, this sphere, composed of numerous nests, is about fifty meters in diameter, resembling a towering hill.

Moreover, what is truly astonishing is that despite their sheer number and the variety of their stacking methods, the entire sphere exhibits a remarkable sense of order, without the slightest hint of chaos or disharmony.
