Chapter 336 Turning Around
Chapter 336 Turning Around
"I don't know, but don't worry, he's our captain, so we all listen to him. He should have his own plans."
Ling Luo gently shook her head, her smile still sweet, but her eyes revealed her trust in Ling Ye.
Lingye is their captain, and their team fully trusts all of their captain's decisions.
"Miss, come with me?"
Lingluo spoke again, her voice soft and gentle, like a spring breeze that gently brushed past He Hailuo's ear and soothed her still very flustered heart.
She took Heheluo's hand, pulling gently, trying to guide her towards the isolation room. The door to the isolation room was ajar, letting in a sliver of bright light, as if beckoning them.
"Oh? Oh, okay."
He Hailuo was slightly taken aback when he heard the other party's words, but after realizing what was happening, he hurriedly responded.
Her voice carried a slight unease, like that of a startled fawn.
"Um, you can just call me Conch."
She then quickly added.
As she spoke, she unconsciously clutched the hem of her clothes with both hands, and lowered her head slightly, not daring to look the other person in the eye.
Heheluo has a natural wariness of strangers, a wariness that seems to be ingrained in his bones.
From a young age, she has never been good at talking to strangers. Every interaction with unfamiliar people is a difficult challenge for her. When faced with the gaze of strangers, she always feels uncomfortable, as if her every move is being scrutinized under a magnifying glass.
Fortunately, Lingluo is a lovely girl, and He Hailuo has a natural affinity for girls.
Lingluo's bright eyes sparkled with a friendly light, making people feel warm just by looking at them.
This made Heheluo feel much more relaxed, at least it wasn't as difficult as talking to a strange man. If she were facing a strange man, Heheluo might have been so nervous that she couldn't even speak properly, her heart would have raced uncontrollably, and her cheeks would have flushed.
Lingluo also noticed He Hailuo's predicament. She was very thoughtful, like a caring little angel.
She chatted with He Hailuo in a light and lively tone, like a babbling brook.
"Seashell, look, you've come out safely now. Isn't that a wonderful experience?"
Lingluo said with a smile, her eyes full of concern. Her voice, as clear as a silver bell, echoed in the air, gradually calming He Hailuo's mood.
At the same time, Lingluo subtly guided her to talk about some things that happened inside the protective shield.
"Speaking of which, how did you run into the captain? What's it like inside?"
Linglu asked casually, but her eyes were fixed on Hehailuo's reaction.
With Lingluo's company and guidance, He Hailuo gradually relaxed. The two walked side by side, their shadows stretching long down the corridor.
Lingluo would occasionally turn her head to look at Hehailuo and give her an encouraging smile.
Finally, Lingluo took He Hailuo to the isolation room. The door to the isolation room was right in front of them. Lingluo gently pushed the door open, and a faint smell of disinfectant wafted out.
"Seashell, we've arrived. Come in and rest for a bit. It'll be ready soon."
She gestured for them to proceed and said gently.

Meanwhile, the remaining members of the squad were listening intently to Lingye's instructions.
Lingye's voice was clear and steady, conveying a convincing power.
"I discovered something important inside this time,"
Lingye said.
"That alien race actually used energy to isolate their own aura, and then effortlessly dug underground to build this stronghold. Look,"
As he spoke, he pointed to the large, still-collapsed pit.
"I believe you have all witnessed the sheer size of this base."
Everyone's gaze fell on the huge pit as Ling Ye gestured, and their hearts trembled.
It's unbelievable that this alien race was able to complete such a massive project almost right under their noses, without the official inspections being conducted.
"This is crucial because we had always taken it for granted that they would choose to build their base in the Otherworld. So, our focus was on checking for fluctuations in spatial rifts, and we never imagined they would tamper with such a densely populated area. This was a major oversight on our part, and it was absolutely wrong of us."
Lingye continued.
His words revealed a hint of self-blame and regret, clearly indicating that he was deeply distressed by this oversight. The other members of the team also looked grave, realizing that this mistake could have serious consequences.
"Wait a moment, Lingjiu, you will be responsible for writing a detailed report, clearly explaining the ins and outs of this matter, and then submit it."
Lingye said to Lingjiu with a serious expression.
“Lingji, you and Lingyan continue to guard outside the protective shield. Be careful of those jellyfish. Although their tentacles won't harm humans for now, it doesn't mean they are absolutely safe. We can't rely entirely on their ‘kindness’ for human safety, so we still need to be vigilant and watch out for any of them escaping.”
Then, he turned to look at Lingji and Lingyan and gave them some instructions.
"Also, Lingluo's task is to try and get information out of He Hailuo. Although she's just an ordinary person, she's been through so much, she might know some important information that she herself isn't even aware of. Tell Lingluo to try and get her to tell you everything she knows. You can pass that message on to her later."
Lingye paused briefly, then continued speaking to Lingji and the other two.
After assigning everyone their tasks, Ling Ye smiled with satisfaction. He nodded slightly, his gaze sweeping over the team members, who all nodded in agreement, clearly understanding their responsibilities.
"And what about you, Captain?"
Seeing that Ling Ye had already arranged everything, Ling Yan asked.
“Me? I need to find Boss Lin. If Heheluo isn’t lying, then Boss Lin is very likely still inside. Right now, she’s the key person to stop Meros from going any further insane.”
Ling Ye turned to look at Ling Yan, a thoughtful look flashing in her eyes, before answering.
After saying that, Lingye turned around without hesitation and stepped into the interior of the protective shield.
Ling Yan stood there, staring blankly at Ling Ye's receding figure. He seemed to still be reeling from the conversation they had just had.
However, Lingji did not freeze like Lingyan. She quickly snatched the tool from Lingyan's hand to activate the protective shield and then skillfully reversed the operation.
As she moved, the originally transparent protective shield gradually returned to its original state, once again tightly enveloping the entire area.
