Nirvana Heiress: Reborn and Returning to Stir Up a Storm

Chapter 120 Market Development

Chapter 120 Market Development

The morning sun bathed the city's steel jungle, golden sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows and falling on Lin Chuyue's face. Her gaze lingered outside, a hint of weariness in her eyes, but even more so, a resolute determination. The scenes from last night's banquet replayed in her mind; the sarcasm and undercurrents did not frighten her, but rather made her even more aware of the responsibilities she bore.

She walked to her desk, opened the latest financial statements, her eyes sharp as knives. The problems hidden between the numbers were as complex as a spider web, but they were no match for her. Lin Chuyue dialed her secretary's number: "Arrange my afternoon schedule. I need to have a detailed reconciliation meeting with CFO Li Gang."

The secretary's efficient voice came from the other end of the phone: "Yes, Mr. Lin, I'll arrange it right away."

After hanging up the phone, Lin Chuyue pulled out several documents and carefully took notes. She knew that the internal problems within the company could not be delayed any longer. After observing for some time, she had identified some key figures and loopholes.

Sunlight streamed through the heavy blinds, casting a dim glow on Gu Yanchuan's desk. His fingers tapped lightly on the surface, but his gaze remained fixed on the market expansion report in his hand, his thoughts already wandering far away.

Lin Chuyue's composed demeanor at the banquet last night left him unable to see through her. After the annulment of the engagement, she seemed even more composed and unapproachable. Gu Yanchuan put down his report, his brows furrowing slightly. He knew very well that a clear line had been drawn between them, yet his heart was always inexplicably drawn to her.

There was a gentle knock on the door, and Luo Yurou's gentle voice came through: "Yanchuan, good morning, can we talk?"

He looked up and saw Luo Yurou holding a document, her expression gentle and serene. "Of course, please come in."

Luo Yurou placed the document on the table, her voice gentle: "This is a market analysis I've compiled; I hope it will be helpful for the upcoming project."

Gu Yanchuan opened the document, carefully read a few pages, and nodded: "It's very well organized, thank you."

Luo Yurou looked at him, a hint of hesitation in her eyes: "Yanchuan, you seem a little absent-minded lately. Is it because of too much work pressure?"

Gu Yanchuan smiled slightly: "It's nothing, I've just been busy lately."

Luo Yurou lowered her head and pondered for a while, then raised her eyes and said softly, "If you need any help, please let me know at any time."

"Thank you." Gu Yanchuan put down the documents, his gaze deep, but he didn't say anything more.

The afternoon sun was a bit too bright. Lin Chuyue was busy organizing meeting materials when her phone suddenly vibrated. Li Zhanchuan's name appeared on the screen. She picked it up, her tone calm: "Mr. Li, is something the matter?"

Li Zhanchuan's voice was deep and resolute: "Chuyue, let's have dinner together tonight if you're free."

Lin Chuyue raised an eyebrow: "Mr. Li, can't you just say what you need to say over the phone?"

A soft laugh came from the other end of the phone: "Some things are better discussed face-to-face. Besides, I know you've been busy with company matters lately, and I might have some resources that can help you."

Lin Chuyue paused slightly, then replied after a moment, "Okay, send me the location."

After hanging up the phone, she leaned back in her chair, her mind replaying Li Zhanchuan's recent frequent expressions of concern. This feeling was somewhat complex, but she knew very well that, regardless of the circumstances, Li Zhanchuan's help was an undeniable force for her right now.

As night fell and the city lights began to twinkle, Lin Chuyue drove to the agreed-upon restaurant. It was a French restaurant hidden in a bustling area, understated yet luxurious. As she pushed open the door, she immediately felt the warm lighting and the melodious sound of a violin creating a unique atmosphere.

Li Zhanchuan had been waiting for a long time. He was dressed in a well-tailored black suit, his brows furrowed with his usual coldness and composure. He stood up and pulled out a chair for her, his voice low: "Let's order first. You've been too busy with work lately; you look a little thin."

Lin Chuyue smiled faintly and sat down opposite him, her voice still cold: "President Li, there's no need to beat around the bush, just say it directly."

Li Zhanchuan looked at her, a hint of appreciation flashing in his eyes, and then said, "Lin's recent overseas projects have encountered considerable obstacles, haven't they?"

Lin Chuyue was slightly taken aback, then raised an eyebrow and asked, "How did you know?"

“I have my own channels.” Li Zhanchuan’s lips curled up slightly, his tone revealing a hint of certainty. “I can help you solve these problems, as long as you are willing to trust me.”

Lin Chuyue was silent for a moment, then her gaze became more inquisitive: "Li Zhanchuan, why are you so concerned about my affairs? Our relationship is just a business partnership, isn't it?"

Li Zhanchuan gazed at her, his voice low and sincere: "Perhaps it's because I don't want to see you struggling too much on your own."

Lin Chuyue paused for a moment, lowered her eyelashes, picked up the water glass on the table and took a small sip: "Thank you for your kindness, but I can handle these things."

Li Zhanchuan's lips curled slightly. He didn't press further, but instead turned his gaze to the night outside the window: "Whatever you want. But no matter what, remember to contact me if you need anything."
