Nirvana Heiress: Reborn and Returning to Stir Up a Storm

Chapter 152 Intertwined Feelings

Chapter 152 Intertwined Feelings

Lin Chuyue sat in her office, her desk piled high with documents, her phone screen lighting up several times. She picked it up casually and saw a message from Li Zhanchuan:

"You don't need to work overtime tonight, I'll come pick you up."

She stared at the screen for a few seconds, a smile involuntarily curving her lips, before quickly replying, "Okay, I won't keep you waiting too long."

Li Zhanchuan's messages were always brief, yet heartwarming. Lin Chuyue put down her phone, her gaze falling on the high-rise buildings outside the window. The afterglow of the setting sun bathed the city, and her thoughts drifted away with that warm orange light.

Gu Yanchuan's New Attempt

On the other side, Gu Yanchuan was standing in the garden downstairs from the company building, holding a bunch of light purple forget-me-nots. Luo Yurou's figure appeared in the distance; she was wearing a simple floral dress, making her look fresh and gentle.

"President Gu, what is this...?" Luo Yurou was slightly taken aback when she saw the bouquet, and a shy smile appeared on her face.

Gu Yanchuan handed her the flowers, his voice low but sincere: "Thank you for your companionship and understanding these past few days. I know I was too focused on work before and neglected many important things."

Luo Yurou was taken aback for a moment, then took the flowers, her eyes full of tenderness: "I'm already very happy that you can say that."

Looking at her, Gu Yanchuan felt for the first time that this calm and warm feeling might be what he truly needed. He said softly, "I hope we can give each other a chance."

Luo Yurou nodded, looking at him with a firm gaze: "Okay."

Lin Chuyue's Unexpected Arrangement

That evening, Li Zhanchuan appeared on time downstairs at Lin Chuyue's company. He was wearing a simple white shirt and stood by the car, looking exceptionally tall and straight under the streetlights.

Lin Chuyue walked quickly towards him, smiling as she said, "So punctual, were you afraid I'd run away?"

Li Zhanchuan raised an eyebrow, his tone tinged with helplessness: "If you dare to run away, will I ever be able to find you again?"

The two got into the car together, and as Li Zhanchuan started the engine, he suddenly said, "I'm taking you somewhere today, I'm sure you'll like it."

Lin Chuyue looked at him curiously: "Where?"

"You'll find out when you get there." He kept everyone in suspense, a mysterious smile playing on his lips.

The car drove out of the city and headed towards the suburbs. About half an hour later, it stopped beside a field full of sunflowers. A gentle breeze blew, and the large sunflowers swayed in the wind, as if dancing in the sunlight.

Lin Chuyue was stunned by the sight before her when she got out of the car. She turned to Li Zhanchuan and asked, "How did you know I like sunflowers?"

Li Zhanchuan smiled faintly: "I know a lot of things."

Lin Chuyue smiled helplessly, walked into the sunflower field, and gently touched the golden petals. Her smile shone brightly in the sunlight, while Li Zhanchuan's gaze remained fixed on her.

"Lin Chuyue," he suddenly spoke, his tone more solemn, "If I could, I would like to stay with you and walk with you forever."

Lin Chuyue turned to look at him, her eyes filled with shock. She wanted to speak, but for a moment she didn't know what to say.

"Don't rush to answer me." Li Zhanchuan walked to her side and said in a low voice, "I just hope you can give me a chance to be your support."

Lin Chuyue's heart skipped a beat. She nodded and said softly, "Okay."

A smile flashed in Li Zhanchuan's eyes as he reached out and took her hand.

Gu Yanchuan's Farewell

As night deepened, Gu Yanchuan stood in his office, holding an old photograph in his hands. The photograph was a picture of him and Lin Chuyue when they were children, with the gardens of their two villas in the background.

His gaze lingered on Lin Chuyue's innocent smiling face, and he said softly, "Chuyue, I used to think we would always be like this, but now, I've figured it out."

He put the photo in the drawer, and as he closed it, a sense of relief washed over him. Lin Chuyue would forever remain a ray of light in his memory, but now, he was willing to leave that light in the past and embrace his new life.

Lin Chuyue's determination

Back home, Lin Chuyue stood on the balcony, the night breeze gently ruffling her hair. She held a sunflower in her hand, her gaze resolute.

"Li Zhanchuan, I will try to believe you." She murmured softly, a sense of unprecedented peace welling up inside her.

She knew that the road ahead might still be full of challenges, but with him by her side, she was willing to keep going.
