Night enveloped the city's hustle and bustle. Lin Chuyue sat quietly in her study, pondering the meeting arranged over the phone. Who was this mysterious stranger? Why would he contact her?

"Chuyue, aren't you getting a little too focused on your phone like that?" Li Zhanchuan pushed open the door and, seeing her furrowed brows, couldn't help but tease her.

Lin Chuyue raised her head, her gaze still serious: "Zhan Chuan, someone just called me and said he has Shen Fang's secret information and asked me to meet him tomorrow night."

"Understood," Lin Chuyue replied softly, stepping firmly into the warehouse.

The warehouse was completely empty, with only a few dim chandeliers flickering faintly. Lin Chuyue glanced around and quickly spotted a figure standing in the shadows.

"Miss Lin, you've arrived on time." The man slowly stepped out of the shadows, revealing an unfamiliar face. He wore a dark gray overcoat, his hands in his pockets, his gaze calm yet tinged with coldness.

"Who are you?" Lin Chuyue asked directly without wasting words. "You said you have information about Shen Fang, what exactly is it?"

The man smiled slightly, took out a USB drive from his pocket, and held it up: "This contains Shen Fang's financial transaction records and overseas account information over the past few years, enough to make her nowhere to hide in the international market."

"Why are you giving me such important information?" Lin Chuyue frowned, her tone tinged with suspicion.

“Because Shen Fang owes me a debt, and you are the most capable person to deal with her.” The man’s eyes were sharp and his voice was deep. “This is a deal between us.”

"A deal?" Lin Chuyue sneered. "What do you want?"

The man took a step closer and said in a low voice, "All I need is for you to promise that once you have this information, you won't involve my name."

Lin Chuyue stared into his eyes, trying to catch a clue in his expression. However, the man remained calm and showed no sign of anything amiss.

"Okay, I promise you." She nodded, and as she took the USB drive, she suddenly noticed that the atmosphere around her had become tense.

Danger is approaching

Just as Lin Chuyue took the USB drive, a gust of cold wind swept in from the warehouse entrance. Immediately afterwards, a group of armed men in black suddenly burst in and surrounded Lin Chuyue and the man.

"It seems your deal has been discovered." Li Zhanchuan's voice sounded in the earpiece, tinged with coldness. "Chuyue, don't worry, my men are ready."

Lin Chuyue gripped the USB drive tightly and calmly glanced around. These men in black exuded an extraordinary aura, clearly having undergone professional training.

The leader of the men in black said coldly, "Miss Lin, this is not a place for you. Please leave your things here and then leave."
