Chapter 222 Ancient Magic Weapon.

Chapter 222 Ancient Magic Weapon.

Jun Luochuan and Su Yao had just barely escaped the terrifying crisis and hadn't even had a chance to rest and catch their breath before they continued their relentless exploration of the ruins, which resembled the belly of a mysterious behemoth.

The passageways within the ruins were winding and crisscrossing, like a vast labyrinth woven by fate, filled with endless unknowns and bewilderment. Every step they took felt like cautiously testing the edge of a dark abyss, treading on thin ice.

"Jun Luochuan, this place is like a giant maze! My little head is completely tangled up and I'm totally dizzy!" Su Yao couldn't help but complain, her voice sounding like a lost lamb bleating helplessly.

Jun Luochuan snorted coldly, his voice as cold and ruthless as the winter wind. "Stop your endless chatter, shut your mouth, and stay close to me. Don't cause me any trouble."

Just then, like two butterflies that stumbled upon each other, they fluttered into a room so spacious it seemed it could hold the stars. The walls were covered with strange runes, like mysterious incantations, ancient codes whispering secrets unknown to anyone. In the very center of the room stood a massive stone platform, as large as a mountain.

On the stone platform, a magical artifact, radiating a mysterious and unpredictable light, lay quietly like a sleeping star. Its light was sometimes as soft as a veil, sometimes as dazzling as fireworks, captivating the soul.

"Could this be the priceless treasure we've been searching for all this time?" Su Yao's eyes instantly lit up like the brightest stars in the night sky, and she was as excited as a wild horse that had broken free of its reins, ready to run over.

Jun Luochuan reacted quickly, stopping her with lightning speed. "Be careful, it might be a trap! This treasure isn't so easy to get. Don't let your excitement cloud your judgment."

Su Yao stopped in her tracks, looking annoyed, and stuck out her tongue playfully, like a child caught doing something wrong. "Oh dear, I was too impatient."

Jun Luochuan's gaze was piercing as he stared intently at the magical artifact, as if trying to see through it with his eyes. It was crystal clear, as if it had been carefully carved from the purest and most flawless crystal in the world. The various gemstones inlaid on it were like twinkling stars, shimmering with strange and enchanting light, each ray of light seemingly telling an ancient and mysterious story.

"This magical artifact is definitely no ordinary object; it must contain earth-shattering secrets and power," Jun Luochuan murmured to himself, his voice deep and solemn, as if a chant from ancient times.

Su Yao, as curious as a kitten, blinked her big eyes and asked, "Will we be able to take it away smoothly? Will there be any trouble?"

Jun Luochuan fell into deep thought, and the brief silence seemed to freeze time. After a moment, he slowly said, "Don't act rashly. Check if there are any hidden traps or mechanisms around here."

So, like two cautious hunting dogs, they carefully searched every corner of the room for clues. Finally, in a dark corner, they discovered an ancient stone tablet covered with densely packed characters.

"What on this is? It's like a book written in heaven; I can't understand a single word." Su Yao looked bewildered, as if she were facing an unsolvable riddle.

Jun Luochuan was completely absorbed in studying the inscription on the stone tablet. His brows furrowed more and more, and his expression gradually became solemn, as if what was engraved on it was not words, but a judgment of fate.

"How is it? Can you understand these winding, scribbled symbols?" Su Yao asked anxiously, like an ant on a hot pan.

Jun Luochuan slowly raised his head, his gaze deep and worried, and said slowly, "It says here that this magic weapon has the power to destroy the world, but at the same time, it is also accompanied by great danger that can shatter people to pieces."

"Oh? What should we do?" Su Yao was so frightened that her face turned pale, and her voice trembled like a petal shivering in the wind.

Jun Luochuan gritted his teeth, his resolute expression like that of a warrior determined to die. "Fortune and honor are always sought in danger. If you don't enter the tiger's den, how can you catch the tiger's cub? Let's give it a try. At worst, we'll risk our lives."

They took a deep breath, calming their tension and fear, and cautiously approached the alluring yet dangerous artifact...
