Chapter 177: Sanctuary
Chapter 177: Sanctuary
Andrey ended the call with Leto and put his phone away. He sighed quietly.
"...Looks like tomorrow is going to be busy too."
He turned his gaze to Morgana, who was sleeping soundly on the bed. Her expression was surprisingly peaceful, almost trusting, as if she had already accepted her new reality. It was hard to believe that just hours ago they had been enemies.
Andrey muttered to himself, "I should head back... but I can’t just leave a demon like her alone in a hotel room."
System: That’s easy, Host. You can just store her inside your body.
Andrey frowned. "Is that possible?"
System: Of course. Succubi who have formed a bond with their partner can be stored inside them. It’s a common trait for their race.
Andrey raised an eyebrow. ’There’s nothing common about that...’
He thought for a moment, then nodded.
"...If that’s true, it would actually be better. I don’t want to bring a demon out in public and attract the attention of other heroes."
System: Hehe~ Exactly. Shall I show you how to do it?
Andrey looked at the sleeping Morgana, her voluptuous body still faintly glowing with the violet energy of her new contract.
He took a deep breath.
"...Show me."
System: Understood. Since she has accepted the contract and submitted to you, she can now be stored as a "familiar" inside your soul space. Just place your hand on her and say "Store" while channeling a bit of your mana. It’s that simple.
Andrey placed his palm on Morgana’s forehead. A faint blue light flowed from his hand as he followed the System’s instructions.
"Store."
Morgana’s body glowed with soft violet light before dissolving into particles and flowing into Andrey’s body. He felt a strange warmth settle inside him, like a new presence had taken root.
System: Storage successful. Morgana is now safely stored within you. You can summon her whenever you want.
Andrey stood up, adjusting his clothes. He looked at the empty bed for a moment, then headed for the door.
"...Let’s go home."
He left the hotel room, the night air cool against his skin as he walked toward the van.
The drive back to the apartment was quiet. The city lights blurred past as Andrey gripped the steering wheel, his mind replaying the chaotic events of the night, the gate, Morgana, the forced contract, and everything in between.
When he finally arrived, he parked the van and took the elevator up. The moment he opened the door to the safehouse, he was greeted by a soft light from the living room.
Lisa was still awake.
She was wearing a loose white tank top with no bra underneath, the thin fabric clearly outlining the shape of her small breasts. Paired with short, tight black shorts that hugged her hips and thighs, she looked both comfortable and unintentionally seductive. Her hair was down, slightly messy from resting earlier.
"Welcome back," Lisa said softly, smiling as she stood up from the couch.
Andrey closed the door behind him. "Why are you still awake? It’s already late."
Lisa rubbed her arm a little shyly. "I... couldn’t sleep yet. I was waiting for you."
She walked toward the kitchen. "I left some food in the fridge. Do you want me to warm it up for you?"
Andrey nodded. "That would be good, thank you."
Lisa quickly reheated the food in the microwave while Andrey sat down at the dining table. Once it was ready, she placed the warm plate in front of him.
As he started eating, Lisa sat across from him and asked gently,
"How did it go with the golden-eyed man? Did you get any useful information?"
Andrey swallowed his food and replied, "We got some leads. Lumy found out his name is Vesper Kane. He’s dangerous. We’re still looking into his full background and goals."
He continued explaining the key points, skipping the more private details about Morgana for now. Lisa listened attentively, her expression shifting to surprise when he mentioned Lumy.
"...Lumy became a Magical Girl?" she asked, eyes wide.
Andrey nodded. "I didn’t have much of a choice at the time. I wanted to summon all of you, but the situation forced my hand. She accepted the contract to save Felix."
Lisa was quiet for a moment, then smiled softly.
"I see... As long as you’re safe, that’s what matters. I trust your judgment."
She picked up a spoonful of food and held it out to him shyly, her cheeks turning pink.
"Here... let me feed you."
Andrey looked at the spoon, then at her embarrassed face. He let out a small, awkward chuckle.
"...This is a bit embarrassing."
Lisa’s face turned even redder, but she didn’t pull back.
"I’m embarrassed too... so just endure it for a bit, okay?"
Andrey opened his mouth and accepted the food. The quiet, intimate moment between them felt strangely warm after the chaos of the day.
Lisa sat across from Andrey, watching him eat while she continued talking in a soft, slightly frustrated tone.
"Sarah never washes her own clothes, you know? She just leaves them in the basket and expects someone else to do it. And Sein... she’s always arguing with Sarah over the smallest things. The atmosphere at home has been so chaotic lately."
Andrey swallowed his food and replied calmly, "Maybe that’s just how they communicate. Let them be. They’ll get tired of it eventually."
Lisa shook her head, looking a little worried.
"No, we can’t just let it continue like that. If we ignore it, they’ll end up fighting even more seriously."
Andrey took another bite, then said with a small, teasing smile.
"Yet they’re surprisingly compatible when they’re in bed."
Lisa’s cheeks instantly turned pink. She looked down at the table, embarrassed but still determined.
"That’s... different, Andrey. They only act like that because you keep bullying them."
Andrey chuckled softly, clearly amused by her reaction. He continued eating while Lisa watched him with a mix of fondness and mild exasperation.
