595 Chapter 595: Slipped
After piercing the body of the attacker with her wings, Xin Yan looked at them, and upon seeing them untainted from any filth, caused Xin Yan's lips to curl upwards a little.
Failing to sneak attack Xin Yan, the man now lay on the ground with a look of hatred in his eyes. Blood seeped from his wound only to freeze all of a sudden before the ice started to spread all over his body very slowly.
"You!!" He was enraged when he felt the look of disdain in her eyes as she looked at him.
"You are delusional to think that your sneak attack would work on me even when I was distracted, let alone when you are shouting like that." Xin Yan's lips curled up in disdain as a long sword with a very thin blade appeared in her hands.
"And you are an idiot to think that my dear only amounts to only that much." The lips of the girls who heard Xin Yan twitched; they felt she was boasting, but the next second, they all hurriedly looked at Noah.
Even Amon, who heard her words from afar, looked at Noah. His body visibly tensed when he saw that the boy who was falling suddenly started to fade out of existence.
"Illusion? No! I was sure there was no illusion!" His voice carried the shock he was feeling. Amon spread his soul sense all around and flared his qi to dispel any kind of illusion he was trapped in.
But...
Nothing happened!
"You just had to ruin the surprise..." Instead, he heard the voice of the man coming from all directions. Xin Yan, who knew Noah was talking to her, smiled seductively before replying, "I am really sorry. Why don't I make it up to you later~"
As she giggled, the sword in her hand slipped and fell directly on the man lying before her, directly between his legs, chopping a part of his body.
"Arggh—" The man did not even have the chance to feel the pain completely as Xin Yan flicked the sword, causing it to spin and slice the man in half.
"Enough!" Seeing another one of his subordinates dying and Noah unharmed somewhere, Amon was now fully enraged. He did not care about Noah any longer. "Mindeye, what are you standing there for? Use all of your power to destroy this accursed sect!"
Xin Yan was thrown backward when several beasts used their attacks on her at the same time while she was fighting against the Mindeye Lion.
"Now!" The rest of the hidden cult members, who were not impulsive before, grasped the opening to sneak towards Shisan, who was recovering while ignoring Xin Yan.
Taking the opportunity, Amon used some of his spare parts to combine these parts to form a huge human-like puppet. The puppet was taller than the Mindeye Lion. Upon creation, its eyes glowed with blood-red energy.
Boom!
The puppet just took a step, and the ground beneath its feet collapsed, causing its feet to stagger.
With the sudden shift of weight, the puppet leaned forward and fell to the ground.
...
Amon stared at the fallen puppet without saying anything, but the air around started to turn cold as he seemed to have guessed what happened.
"Ah, my bad. I must have made many hidden pits on the battlefield to use them later." Just then, a voice came not far from him with the figure of the culprit also emerging.
"Haha! That was hilarious! Was that thing supposed to take on me?!" The old man also let out a hearty laugh when he saw the puppet made of bones and metallic parts kneeling on the ground, trying to get up.
Yet all of its attempts were bound to fail when the pit it fell into turned into a swamp, dragging it deeper and deeper into it.
"Did you think that stopping one of my random creations would stop me?" Amon scoffed at Noah without showing any anger, but his voice was colder than before.
"Look there. You are bound to lose this war. No, it cannot even be called one when I came here with a pitiful amount of people." Amon pointed at the distance where the kids were struggling against the beasts, their bodies riddled with wounds, and three cloaked figures were sneaking in on them.
