Chapter 119 119: Where Is Haruma?

Chapter 119 119: Where Is Haruma?

The principal remained still, his gaze fixed on the screen as realization slowly set in that Haruma wasn't there. His eyes narrowed slightly, a trace of confusion crossing his face before he exchanged a brief look with Coach Kenta, who seemed just as uncertain.

After a moment, the principal shifted his attention to Haruma's mother who was still watching the screen with a warm, gentle smile resting on her face, untouched by the confusion around her.

Just then, a sudden wave of roars and cheers erupted from the crowd, breaking the silence, causing the principal to instinctively look back at the screen, only for his eyes to widen.

The formation of the pose had changed, as Kurogami and Jiho had now stepped aside, creating space at the center, as if making way for someone.

Across Hanaka High, breaths caught mid-air. The principal, Rukia, Toru, Masaru, Shino, every one of them stood frozen, eyes wide and locked onto the screen, anticipation tightening with every passing second.

On the screen, The smoke thickened around the squad, swirling heavier as the atmosphere grew tense and charged. And from within the darkness behind them, a pair of golden boots stepped forward into view.

The reaction was instant as the Hanaka High erupted into deafening cheers and roaring excitement.

The figure continued forward, adorned in the JFF U19 jersey, moving with quiet authority, his each step carried weight, drawing every eye without effort, his presence alone shaping the moment around him.

Haruma's mother let out a soft, emotional laugh, tears slipping down as she watched. Toru, Masaru and Shino were frozen with jaws slightly dropped.

The figure in the golden boots walked and came to a stop, standing tall along and ahead of the squad, composed, and unshaken, leading them with a calm, commanding presence.

Then the camera began to rise with a smooth, unbroken motion, slowly revealing more of the figure, first the U19 JFF jersey, then the fitted additional sleeves on his arms, the number 22 glowing clearly on his back, alongside the Japan flag stitched on his chest.

It continued moving upward with a slow grace holding the tension just long enough before finally revealing him as Haruma Kusaka.

The moment hit like a shockwave.

Hanaka High erupted in a wave of thunderous cheers and unrestrained celebration, the sound rolling across the entire ground like a surge that couldn't be contained.

On the sidelines, Haruma's mother's gaze lifted sharply, her eyes widening for a brief moment before softening again. Her lips parted slightly as tears gathered and caught the light, her expression holding still between disbelief and a quiet, overwhelming pride that she couldn't hide anymore.

A sharp wave of chills ran through Toru and Shino, locking their bodies in place for a brief moment.

From the stands Rukia's eyes quickly got filled with tears, her mouth slightly parted as emotion broke through her composure.

Masaru from the field stood frozen, his heartbeat loud in his chest, tears threatening to spill as he stared at the screen in awe.

As Haruma came fully into view, the camera slowly began to move back, widening the frame to reveal the entire squad where Raya and Nagisa stood side by side, seeming composed and steady, their posture relaxed yet controlled.

Kabuto wore a faint smirk, relaxed yet confident. Jiho remained tense and sharp-eyed, his expression carrying a fierce edge, while Izaya was smiling lightly, almost joyous but yet his gaze was burning with an intense, almost restless energy.

Kurogami stood firmly locked in, steady and focused, as if already reading the match ahead.

And at the center of them all stood Haruma Kusaka.

Tall. Steady. Commanding without effort. His expression remained firm and composed, yet his eyes carried something deeper, an unspoken hunger and confidence for the tournament ahead.

A final sideline caption slid beneath their frozen pose on screen.

"The Prodigy. The Devouring Wolf. The Golden Kid of Japan. The Vice Captain…

Haruma Kusaka is ready… are you? #U19AFC2042"

Inside an office, Ryusei was on his feet, roaring in celebration, tossed papers and files into the air in pure, unfiltered joy as the LED screen mounted on the wall was displaying the same frozen frame where Haruma and the squad were holding their composed, commanding pose…

In her room, Ayane lay on her bed, face buried into the pillow, her emotions spilling out as she repeated the chant under her breath.

"Dummy! Dummy! Dummy! Dummy!"

The LED in front of her still displayed the same scene, Haruma and the squad locked in that composed, powerful pose from the advertisement, unchanged, holding the moment in silence…

Inside an ice cream parlor, an old man stepped up to the counter and placed cash down, waiting briefly for a response.

When none came, he looked up.

Behind the counter, Shiori stood completely still, her head turned toward the left. Her eyes were wide, her jaw slightly parted, frozen in place as if the world around her had stopped.

Curious, the old man followed her gaze to find her locked on the wall where the LED was mounted and on the screen the same advertisement and frame of Haruma and the squad locked in that composed, powerful pose, unchanged and commanding.

Shiori didn't blink, her attention fixed entirely on Haruma's image.

The old man let out a quiet, amused chuckle, shaking his head slightly. He left the money on the counter as it was, then turned and walked away without another word…

On the field of Hanaka High the crowds were exploded into a unified chant of "Haruma! Haruma! Haruma!" surging across, rolling through the stands in waves, echoing endlessly as if the entire crowd had become one voice.

On the screen, Haruma and the squad remained locked in their pose, motionless, cold, and composed, holding the frame like a statement carved into stone.

Rukia's tears were streaming freely down her face, yet she was clapping freely along with the roaring crowd, unable to hold back her emotion.

Toru and Shino stood frozen in place, still wide-eyed, as if their minds hadn't fully caught up to what they were witnessing. Beside them, Masaru trembled slightly, tears slipping down without restraint, the weight of the moment hitting him all at once.

Just then, a deep, powerful engine roar tore through from just outside the field. It wasn't distant, it was close, heavy, and commanding.

The impact was immediate causing the

cheers to broke off mid-rise, swallowed by sudden silence.

Heads turned in unison.

At the main gate, the guards of the field reacted instantly, rushing into motion and forcing the door open as silent urgency was spiking across the entrance.

The tension across the entire ground sharpened in an instant, every gaze fixed on what was about to appear.

Every single eye on Hanaka High locked onto the grand entrance, waiting.

And just then, the gate fully opene revealing

a sleek black, recent-model Land Cruiser stood still at the entrance, with two additional cars flanked it, positioned like escorts, while bodyguards had already stepped out and formed a secure line around

the vehicle.

Every eye stayed locked on the vehicle in heavy silence, the entire ground holding still as attention remained fixed on the arrival, as if the moment itself refused to move forward.

One of the bodyguards then moved forward, reaching for the rear door, and with a controlled motion, he began to pull it open.

A brief pause followed, heavy, expectant.

Then… Haruma Kusaka stepped out.

Masaru's eyes widened instantly, while Toru and Shino felt their breath catch, both of them freezing in place as the sight before them fully sank in.

Haruma then stepped fully out of the vehicle, standing tall and composed, dressed in the Japan U19 travelling wear.

A clean white trouser paired with a high-neck hoodie, finished with the JFF logo on one side of his chest and the Japan flag on the other, simple, sharp, and unmistakably official.

The moment landed like a shockwave, rippling through the entire field in an instant, freezing everything in place as all eyes stayed locked on Haruma's presence.

On the sidelines, Haruma's mother couldn't hold back her emotion. Tears spilled freely as a soft, overwhelmed laugh escaped her, her hands moving quickly to wipe her face while she watched him stand there.

The principal's eyes were wide open as he looked directly at Haruma, the Japan flag on his chest was the standout of the moment. Beside him, Coach Kenta reacted the same way, equally stunned, both of them momentarily unable to speak as the realization set in.

Haruma stood tall, his gaze locked straight ahead toward the field, carrying a calm, steady focus and quiet confidence that didn't waver.

From the sidelines, Rukia watched with a warm smile, tears still trailing down her cheeks.

Masaru observed him with softened eyes, a faint smile forming as emotion settled into quiet pride, while Toru exhaled slowly, tightening his fist as a renewed sense of confidence returned to him.

Haruma remained standing, shoulders squared with quiet confidence, his posture steady and grounded. His eyes stayed sharp and focused, fixed ahead as he took in the field in silence…
