Chapter 149 Bald-tailed Dragon

Chapter 149 Bald-tailed Dragon

A long time ago, in the countryside of Wendeng County, Shandong Province (now Weihai City, Shandong Province), there was a villager named Bi. The head of the household, Bi, married a very diligent wife.

One day in March of that year, Bi's wife went to wash clothes by the river and accidentally saw a plum as big as an egg on the tree nearby.

The woman was very surprised. She thought there should be no plums in this late spring season. But she was curious, and she was attracted by the brilliance and the plum after all, so she walked over, picked the plum and ate it.

She only felt that the taste of this plum was very sweet, and it did not have the sour taste of ordinary plums at all.

But what made her feel even more strange was that after eating the plum, it felt like there was a fist in her belly, and she was pregnant, and her belly slowly swelled.

What she didn't expect was that after ten months of pregnancy, she didn't give birth!

It took fourteen months for the woman to give birth, but instead of a child, she gave birth to a baby dragon!

The little dragon was more than two feet long. After it was born, it flew away. However, he would fly back every morning to drink his mother's milk.

The nominal father of Xiaolong, namely Bi, hated his wife because she got pregnant for no reason and gave birth to such a monster.

One morning, when Xiaolong flew back again and wanted to drink his mother's milk, he was discovered by Bi.

Bi Mou was so angry that he pulled out the knife hanging on the wall and chased Xiaolong to chop him.

Unexpectedly, he cut off the little dragon's tail.

The little dragon roared loudly and flew away in pain. Since then, he has never flown back.

A few years later, Bi's wife, Xiaolong's mother, unfortunately passed away. The villagers held a funeral for her in the village and parked her coffin in the village without burial.

One night, suddenly there was thunder and lightning in the sky, and there was wind and rain. In the dark and gloomy night, there seemed to be a dragon circling in the sky.

The next day, when the villagers got up, they saw that the woman's coffin had been buried, and the mound of soil had risen, forming a large tomb.

The villagers were all amazed!

A few years later, Xiaolong's father, Bi, also passed away. After the villagers held a funeral for him, they buried his coffin and his wife together.

That night, there was thunder and lightning and heavy wind and rain in the sky again.

After dawn the next day, the villagers got up and saw that Xiaolong's father's coffin was lifted out of the tomb and thrown aside.

It seemed that the little dragon did not allow him to be buried with his mother.

From then on, the villagers called the grave the "Grave of the Bald-tailed Dragon Mother".

As long as it is about climate matters, the villagers will go to that grave to pray. Whether they want sunny weather or rainy days, everything will come true!

This story was told by Mr. Tao Huixuan (namely Tao Yi, Zi Jingchu, a native of Wendeng, Shandong. Official and poet) during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.

Mr. Tao also said: “Although I heard this story from people in my hometown, it is very likely to be true!

I happened to read "Qunfang Pu", and there is a record in it: "Heaven punishes a good dragon by cutting off its ears. If the ear falls to the ground, it will often turn into a plum (meaning: God punishes a dragon that has made mistakes and will definitely cut off its ears). Its ears; if the ears fall to the human world, they will turn into plums). The plum that Bi's wife ate should have been transformed into the dragon's ears. So the woman sensed the dragon's breath and became pregnant, and finally gave birth to a baby dragon! "
